As things continue to grow here at Good Hope, we are seeing more and more people walk through our doors each week. It is a truly beautiful thing to witness our community expanding, but it also means we could use a few more hands alongside us right now to ensure everyone feels seen, supported, and cared for.

Whether you have a few hours on a Thursday morning or prefer flexible, behind-the-scenes work, there is a place for you here. I wanted to share a few specific ways you can step in and make an immediate impact.

Help Check In Pantry Guests

When: First and third Thursdays, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

We are rolling out a new, streamlined way for clients to check in when they visit the food pantry, and we need a few volunteers to help get it off the ground. This role involves greeting our guests with a warm smile and helping gather their information on a computer or iPad. It is a simple task, but it makes a meaningful difference in how smoothly the day runs for everyone.

As a bonus, we share a fellowship lunch right after distribution, and we would love for you to stay and join us!

Deliver Food to Homebound Neighbors

When: Flexible timing after 9:30 am

Some of the people we serve are simply not able to make it to the pantry in person. For these individuals, delivering a box of food to their door often means so much more than just receiving groceries. It is a tangible reminder that they are not alone and that their community cares about them.

Deliveries typically serve our neighbors in Lynn, Peabody, Lynnfield, Salem, and Melrose. This can be done within a couple of hours at a time that works best for your schedule.

Support Behind the Scenes

When: Flexible timing

We are building a small, dedicated team to support the essential work that sustains everything we do at Good Hope. This includes writing thoughtful thank-you notes, helping us stay organized, and supporting our donor cycle so we can continue serving our community well.

If you enjoy detail-oriented work and prefer to contribute from behind the scenes, this is a deeply meaningful way to help us grow.
