Our Impact 2024
Welcome to Good Hope, Inc., where compassion meets action. Founded in 2006 by a dedicated group of community volunteers, our mission has always been to extend a helping hand to those in need. In 2024, we remained steadfast in our commitment to serve both local and global communities. Through our dedicated food pantry, we provided essential nourishment to families across Boston's North Shore, ensuring access to fresh produce, meats, and other perishable items. Our reach extended beyond borders as we successfully constructed wells in Kenya and Zimbabwe, delivering clean, life-sustaining water to entire villages. Additionally, our unwavering support for an orphanage in Kenya ensured that over 40 children received daily meals, offering them stability and hope. These achievements were made possible through the collective dedication of our volunteers, donors, and partners, exemplifying the profound impact of a community united in compassion.

Throughout 2024, Good Hope's Food Pantry continued to serve the North Shore community, providing essential food supplies such as fresh produce, meats, and other perishable items to over 4,800 families. Additionally, hot meals were served to many homeless individuals, offering not just nourishment but also compassion and a reminder that they are seen, valued, and cared for. Global Impact
1. 5K
On April 6th, 2024, the annual Good Hope Green 5K took place at Covenant Christian Academy in Peabody, MA. This event gathered hundreds of participants from the North Shore community, aiming to raise funds for the construction of wells, bringing clean and accessible running water to communities in need around the world. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of all participants and sponsors.
2.Wells Constructed and Orphanage
Beyond feeding the local community, Good Hope's impact stretched far beyond. In 2024, the organization successfully dug wells in Kenya and Zimbabwe, bringing clean, life-sustaining water to entire villages. Additionally, support continued for an orphanage in Kenya by feeding over 40 children who rely on Good Hope for their daily sustenance. The work at the orphanage has been particularly meaningful, striving to provide not just food but also a sense of stability, love, and hope to these children who inspire us every day.
Leadership Transition
In September 2024, Good Hope, Inc. announced a pivotal leadership change. Charles Rukwaro, who had faithfully served as Executive Director, stepped down to focus on family matters. The Board of Directors elected Sreevani Juvvadi as both Chairman of the board and as Executive Director, bringing fresh vision and energy to the organization.

2025: A Vision for Continued Impact

5K To Benefit Uganda
In 2025, Good Hope, Inc. is committed to continuing its mission of compassion and community support. We are excited to announce our upcoming 5K Run for Wells, scheduled for May 17, 2025, with detailed information to be released soon. The funds raised from this event will be dedicated to constructing a new well in Aler, Uganda. This project aims to provide clean, accessible water to approximately 6,000 residents across four villages. Currently, community members, including children and the elderly, must traverse a 6-kilometer journey to the nearest water source, which is often contaminated and shared with livestock, posing significant health risks. By drilling a well within the community, we will alleviate this burden, reduce waterborne diseases, and enhance the overall quality of life.

Big 5 GIVEBACK initiative
In 2025, Good Hope, Inc. will continue its mission to combat homelessness by participating in the Big 5 GIVEBACK initiative. This program, led by Robert Craig Films, allocates 50% of net profits from five productions—including the feature film "No Address"—to nonprofits addressing homelessness. By collaborating in this initiative, Good Hope aims to raise awareness and provide essential support to those experiencing homelessness, reinforcing its commitment to fostering hope and change within the community.
As we reflect on 2024, Good Hope, Inc. is profoundly grateful for the unwavering support from our community of donors, volunteers, and partners. Together, we have continued to provide essential services, including operating our food pantry, planning another 5K event, delivering meals to local shelters, and supporting an orphanage in Kenya. Your dedication has been instrumental in sustaining our mission and expanding our reach. Thank you for being an integral part of our journey to bring health and growth opportunities to individuals and families locally and globally.
