Inside Our Lynnfield Food Pantry – May 2026
August 22, 2026No one should go to sleep hungry, and on August 8, 2026 our Homeless Team made sure that was true for our neighbors at Lifebridge in Salem.
Led by Shelove Duperier, the team started the day at Calvary, where volunteers cooked up about 50 meals: white rice, curry chicken, a mixed vegetable salad, and veggies (and even bought ice cream for dessert). From there, the team loaded up and drove to Lifebridge, where they served those meals directly to individuals experiencing homelessness in Salem, offering not just food, but a few minutes of conversation, a smile, and the reminder that someone cares.
We were also glad to welcome 2 new volunteers to the team this time around. Every new set of hands makes the next outing possible.
This is what Good Hope, Inc does best: we cook with purpose and serve with heart. It's a simple rhythm, prepare at Calvary, deliver at Lifebridge, and we run it once a month. Every plate handed out is a meal that reaches someone who needed it that day.
A huge thank you to our partners at Calvary for opening their kitchen and to the team at Lifebridge for welcoming us in to serve alongside them. Partnerships like these are what make days like this possible.
If you were part of this outing, thank you. If you weren't, there's always a next one.
Want to Join the Homeless Team?
We run this outreach once a month across the North Shore of Boston, and we're always looking for hands in the kitchen and hearts on the ground. No experience necessary, just a willingness to show up.
Ways to help: Volunteer for our next cook and serve day. Donate so we can keep meals on the table. Both are always welcomed.
Contact us to get involved, or check our schedule for the next outreach date.
