June 28, 2024Homeless Care Ministry: Making a Difference in Our Community
At Good Hope, our Homeless Care Ministry has been busy making a positive impact in our community. We're excited to share recent updates and celebrate the dedication of our amazing volunteers.
Welcoming New Volunteers
We are thrilled to welcome three new volunteers to our Homeless Care Ministry: Ogechi, Rayshawna, and Susan. These incredible women signed up during the last Good Hope Sunday and have already been actively involved in our outreach efforts.
Last week, Ogechi, Rayshawna, and Susan made significant contributions by visiting Harbor Place Clubhouse in Lynn, Lifebridge's Women's Shelter in Beverly, and Grace Center in Gloucester. They brought bagels, bread, and big smiles to those in need. Additionally, they helped sort out donations from Blue Moon Bagels in Medfield, ensuring that everything was ready for distribution.
On 06/27, Susan, our dedicated driver for the Homeless Care Ministry, delivered fresh bakery items to Elliot's Harbor Place Clubhouse in Lynn. Harbor Place is a day program that provides crucial support for individuals recovering from mental illness. Susan's commitment to serving others and her compassionate spirit are truly inspiring.
We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of all our volunteers. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of those in need and building a stronger, more caring community.
Thank you, Ogechi, Rayshawna, Susan, and all our volunteers for your invaluable contributions to the Homeless Care Ministry. Your efforts are making a significant impact, and we couldn't do it without you.
Doing Good Together
Our team of volunteers meet every week to provide food to shelters. If you know of any shelter in need of help, contact Ricky Hulchuck.
If you would like to be part of our Homeless Care team too, please consider volunteering with us or make a donation..
