September 30, 2024Good Hope, Inc. Announces Leadership Transition
Lynnfield, MA September 16, 2024
Good Hope, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving local and global communities through food assistance, clean water initiatives, and support for vulnerable populations, is announcing important leadership changes within the organization.
Charles Rukwaro, who has faithfully served as Executive Director, has made the decision to step down from his position to focus on family matters. While he will continue to serve as a board member, we extend our deepest gratitude for his exceptional leadership and guidance over the years. Under his direction, Good Hope, Inc has expanded its mission and deepened its impact both in the North Shore of Massachusetts and across the globe.
The Board of Directors has elected Gerald Jamgochian as the new Chairman of the Board, bringing fresh vision and energy to our organization as we continue to serve those in need.
In addition, Michael A. Satterwhite has been appointed as interim Executive Director, a position he will hold for 90 days or until a permanent Executive Director is selected. Michael brings with him extensive leadership experience and a heart for service, and we look forward to his stewardship during this transitional period.
Michael A. Satterwhite has been a board member of Good Hope since the organization’s inception. A practicing attorney and real estate broker, Michael has nearly 30 years of experience working with nonprofits, including his work with Volunteers of America. He currently serves as Clerk of the Board for The Haven Project. Michael's passion for service extends to his community as a former Lynn School Committee member. He resides in Lynn, MA, with his wife and four children. We are confident that his experience and dedication will guide Good Hope through this transitional period.
As we embrace these leadership changes, we remain deeply committed to our mission of providing food, clean water, and hope to those who need it most. We want to thank our volunteers, donors, and community for their ongoing support and flexibility as we continue this important work.
