October 23, 2024Empowering Girls and Nourishing Communities: A Day of Impact at Echariria School, Kenya
On September 27 2024, the Good Hope, Inc team had the privilege of making a significant impact on the lives of 420 girls at Echariria School in Kenya through a successful sanitary pads distribution program. Each of the girls received three packs of sanitary pad, providing them with the essentials they need for the next three months.
The total cost of this initiative was $500, which covered the purchase of the sanitary pads and transportation costs for the distribution. This program is not only addressing a critical need but also ensuring that these young girls can attend school without interruption, free from the challenges of limited access to feminine hygiene products.
A special note of gratitude goes to Pastor Eliezer from Center Church in Peabody MA, whose generous donation funded the entire program. Additionally, Pastor Charles, Moses, Judy, and Rapha Maina from Sarepta Rescue Center Kenya team, played a crucial role in coordinating the distribution and making the day a success.
Beyond the distribution of the sanitary pads, Good Hope team was able to join the school's feeding program, which ensures the children receive meals five days a week throughout the school term. Arriving early allowed the team to participate in this nourishing initiative, which is vital to the well-being and development of the students.
At Good Hope, we believe in empowering individuals and communities both locally and abroad. Through initiatives like this, we can continue to bring hope and tangible support to those in need. Thank you to all our volunteers, donors, and supporters for making this possible.
Together, we are building a brighter future for these girls and many others around the world.
