Help Us Fill the Table: Donate to Our 2026 Silent Auction

Every year at the Running & Walking Well 5K, one of the most exciting parts of the day is the silent auction. People gather around the tables, flip through the bid sheets, and get competitive over items that were donated entirely by people just like you: local businesses, artists, and individuals who wanted to give something back.

Last year, our community showed up in ways that honestly blew us away. We had trips, music lessons, gift cards, original artwork, bikes, and beautifully curated gift baskets. Every single item on that table was a gift from someone who believed in what we are doing, and together, those donations helped us get closer to our goal of building clean water wells in communities that desperately need them.

This year, we are doing it again. And we want you to be part of it.

What Can You Donate?

You do not have to be a business to donate. You do not have to have something expensive or elaborate. If you have something of value that someone else would love to bid on, we want to hear from you.

Here are some ideas to get you thinking:

Trips and Experiences . A weekend getaway, a vacation package, tickets to a game or a show, a guided tour, or any kind of experience that creates a memory.

Lessons and Services. Music lessons, art classes, fitness sessions, photography sessions, cooking classes, tutoring, or any skill or service you offer professionally.

Gift Cards. Restaurant gift cards, retail gift cards, spa gift cards, or cards to local businesses. These are always popular and always appreciated.

Art and Handmade Items. Original paintings, prints, photography, pottery, jewelry, or anything you have created with your own hands.

New Items. Do you have something at home that is brand new and unused? A kitchen appliance, a piece of equipment, a game, a set of tools? Put it to good use by donating it to the auction.

Gift Baskets. Curated baskets filled with snacks, treats, candles, self-care items, or anything that feels like a thoughtful gift.

Businesses, artists, and individuals, we welcome it all. No donation is too big or too small.

Why It Matters

Every item donated to our silent auction directly supports our $25,000 fundraising goal for the 10th Annual Running & Walking Well 5K on June 27th at Nahant Beach.

This year, our goal is to build a clean water well in Makhosiya, Zimbabwe , a community of 600 people where families walk miles every day to reach unsafe, seasonal water sources. Children miss school. Women carry the burden of the water walk. Livestock suffer. A single borehole well changes all of that.

When someone bids on your donated item, they are not just buying something they love. They are helping a community in Zimbabwe access clean water for the first time.

Doing Good Together

Founded in May 2013, we have funded the digging of eleven wells in Africa which provide clean water for many villages, crops and livestock. The average cost of a well can exceed $25,000 but one well can save hundreds of lives and change the lives of thousands of people.
