As we gather around the Thanksgiving table, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the incredible community that surrounds us. At Good Hope, this season is not just about feasting but also about giving—giving thanks and giving back to those in need.
A Bountiful Thanksgiving Outreach: November 16th, 2023
On November 16th, 2023, we were overjoyed to extend our arms to 460 families in need as part of our annual Thanksgiving outreach. Each family received not only groceries to create a hearty Thanksgiving meal but also a gift card to add a touch of warmth and choice to their celebrations. It's moments like these that remind us of the true spirit of Thanksgiving—the spirit of sharing, caring, and making a difference in the lives of others.
Volunteers in Action: Spreading Love Beyond the Table
But the spirit of Good Hope doesn't stop with distribution. After ensuring that our community had the essentials for a memorable Thanksgiving, our incredible volunteers gathered for their own Friendsgiving celebration. In the spirit of togetherness, they shared laughter, stories, and a meal—a beautiful testament to the bonds formed while serving a shared mission.
Thanksgiving is a Verb: Making a Difference Together
Thanksgiving is not just a day; it's an action, a way of life. At Good Hope, we are thankful for the opportunity to serve, for the generous hearts that support our mission, and for the unity that comes from working towards a common goal. Together, we make Thanksgiving more than a feast; we make it a season of giving, a season of compassion, and a season of spreading hope.

Doing Good Together
Our team of volunteers meet twice a week Wednesdays (food sorting) and Thursdays (food pantry distribution is 1st and 3rd week of the month). If you know of any family or individuals in need of help, they are welcome to come Thursdays between 10am-12pm, all are welcome, and foods are distributed to last for a week worth of groceries.
