Thank You for Making the 2026 Good Hope 5K a Tremendous Success!

What a day. What a community. What a cause.

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the shores of Nahant Beach came alive with the energy, generosity, and heart of an incredible community as we hosted our annual Good Hope 5K. With 70°F temperatures, a light breeze off the water, and skies that felt tailor-made for a morning race, the conditions were nothing short of perfect, and so was everything else.

We are overjoyed to share that this year's event was our biggest and most vibrant yet, and none of it would have been possible without you.

Who We Are - More Than a 5K

If you're joining us for the first time, welcome! We're so glad you found us. Good Hope Inc. is a non-profit organization with a mission that goes far beyond building wells. We are a volunteer-driven organization making a real and lasting impact right here on the North Shore of Massachusetts (and around the world). Our Food Pantry happens
every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 47 Grove St, Lynnfield, MA. Each month, we serve an average of 233 families, including delivering food directly to seniors. Good Hope Homeless Care also partners with shelters across the North Shore of MA providing meals to those experiencing homelessness. 

The Numbers Speak for Themselves

This year, we welcomed 252 registered participants and celebrated 197 finishers who crossed that finish line with determination, joy, and purpose. Every step taken on that course was a step toward clean water for communities in need.

A Celebration to Remember

The 2026 event was more than a race — it was a full community celebration! The festivities included a delicious BBQ with food fresh off the grill, live music that kept the energy high all morning, a fun Kids Dash that brought out the next generation of Good Hope supporters, and classic fair favorites like popcorn and cotton candy. We were also thrilled to host an exciting giveaway and raffle, with lucky winners taking home big prizes including a pair of AirPods Pro and a Kindle. The smiles, laughter, and community spirit were absolutely infectious.

Our Mission Moves Forward: Well #12 — Zimbabwe

Every registration, every donation, every sponsor dollar goes directly toward our mission of bringing clean water to communities across Africa. We are proud and humbled to announce that this year's event has funded our 12th well — built in Zimbabwe. Clean water. New life. Real hope.

Looking Ahead: Well #13 Is on the Way!
