Trip Kenya 2023

Our journey to help communities in Africa started back in 2013, and since then we have fund 6 wells in total. Clink here for more information about the wells.
Our next project is to build a well at Kapsisywa High School, in Nandi County, Kenya. By joining this event, you not only will be helping a great cause, but you will join racers around the world at Nairobi City Marathon.
After you fulfil your fundraising pledge, you will also need to make reservations for accommodation and flight. Below are suggestions of hotel and flight (considering you are flying back and forth from United States), however you are free to make other arrangements you see fit. Please be aware, Nairobi City Marathon is not accepting registrations at this moment, through our partnership with Nairobi City Marathon Organizers, we are able to get a discount registration for our donors (coupon code will be sent separately once you fulfill the goal to register for the race).
Schedule of Events:
When making plans for your trip, keep in mind the following dates below (dates and sequence of visits are subject to change):
- Nairobi City Marathon is scheduled for Sunday May 21st 2023. Plan to arrive at least 2 days before the race if you are planning to meet us at Eldoret city. If not, you should be at Nairobi by Friday May 19th 2023. For more details about the schedule, please check our eBook with instructions.
- Visit at the Mecca of World Marathon Champions Training Camp in Eldoret will happen before the race (Friday May 19th) . Local Transportation will be provided from Sirikwa Hotel, Eldoret at 7am. In the same day, you will have the chance to participate in a local 5K and officially open grounds of the well at Kapsisywa High School, in Nandi County, Kenya with Eliud Kipchoge. Lunch and local transportation will be provided.
- May20th 2023, participants will fly from Eldoret to Nairobi (tickets are not included and transportation not provided). At 12pm, all participants will meet at Hillpark hotel, Nairobi to get the race tickets for Marathon, then tour the race site (Local transportation will be provided for the tour).
- May 21st 2023 - NAIROBI CITY MARATHON. Transportation and lunch provided on the race day, meeting at 6am at Hillpark Hotel.
When booking keep this in mind:
1) Coupon/ Code Word for all air tickets, hotel and transport service recommended is “Good Hope Lynnfield”.
2) If you are planning to meet us at Eldoret city for visiting Kapsisywa High School (visit the well site), and the Training Camp, you will need to arrive by 05/18/23 at ELDORET CITY. CLOSEST AIRPORT is Eldoret International Airport. We will meet participants at Eldoret early morning of 05/19/23.
3) Also, you will need to book local flight from Eldoret Airport to Nairobi city (Jomo Kenyatta Airport) for early morning at 05/20/23. For hotel, you will need a reservation for 05/18/23 to 05/20/23 at Eldoret city, and 05/20/23 to 05/21/23 for Nairobi city.
4) If you decide to meet us at Nairobi city to only join us for the Marathon, make plans to arrive at Nairobi City by 05/19/23. AIRPORT CLOSEST TO THE NAIROBI CITY MARATHON is Jomo Kenyatta Airport. We will meet the participants at Hillpark Hotel at 12pm 05/20/23. You will need hotel reservation only for Nairobi City.
5) VISA
An invitation email will be sent to the participant to enable them to apply for a Kenyan eVisa.
